Fertilization Program
Depending on the type of turf you have, our
fertilization program is designed to provide the
nutrients and weed control to help you establish and
maintain a beautiful and healthy lawn. Our lawn care
specialists are trained to recognize and treat a
variety of disease, insect, and weed problems and
recommend proper maintenance practices to help your
lawn achieve the most benefit from our scheduled
fertilization applications.
We recommend a year-round fertilization program. It
is applied in a six (6) step program. We tailor each
application to what your yard needs in each season.
Weed killers are used as needed throughout the
season, but mostly in the spring. A thick turf stand
is the best protection against weed invasion. Arbor
Lawn recommends core aeration and seeding in the
fall for fescue turf.
We use
the highest quality EPA approved products available
giving you the most effective applications possible. We use slow-release fertilizers,
which can be more expensive, but provide a longer
feeding period than liquid applied fertilizers.
Liquid fertilizers give a quick and excessive growth that is not conducive to a healthy root system. We do
use a liquid weed control, which gives a quicker and
more thorough control of any visible weeds.
Arbor Lawn technicians are trained through The
Department of Agriculture to apply
pesticides. This enables us to provide the correct
and safest lawn applications possible. All products
are applied in the proper amounts at the correct
times. From early spring through winter, you lawn
will be carefully serviced and inspected by our
technicians.

proper watering, cultural practices, and weather
conditions. Some turf applications may recommend
watering by the customer for best results. Our
technicians will leave instructions after an
application if watering is needed. There are many
types of diseases that can affect your turf and we
cannot guarantee your lawn will not be affected by
disease or insects but we can provide the best
recommendations and proper application to help your
